The Shadow Enemy

The Shadow Enemy is the name usually used by the People to designate their primary, historic enemy. The reason for the enmity between the Shadow Enemy and the People has been lost over time, but is thought to originate with the rise of the Minoan civilization on the island now known as Crete.
The Minoans, a proto-Greek culture, flourished from about the 27th to the 15th centuries B.C.E. Their language is thought to have been enshrined in Linear A, a currently unreadable written language associated primarily with the Minoan civilization, and Linear B, which is more heavily associated with the later Mycenaean culture.

Modern Organization

The modern organization is currently led by Lukas Alexiou, who assumed the reins at the tender age of 13 upon his father's death.
Lukas' younger brother, Marco Alexiou, is a key member of the Shadow Enemy, as are other family members.
The Shadow Enemy has been largely inactive in its fight against the People since Lukas assumed leadership.
